东晋陶渊明《桃花源记》面世以来,其文中描绘的带有世外仙境意味的“桃花源”成为了中国诸多文人心目中的“乌托邦”,历代以来,以“桃花源”为题材的绘画创作不在少数,其中在明代中晚期的江南地区十分盛行。
“明朝第一”文徵明,以书、画等形式,都反复表达过自己精神上对乌托邦的神往。
文徵明小楷《桃花源记》及桃花源诗碑刻,拓片出自嘉庆九年( 1804 ),由袁治奉圣旨摹勒。有以下两种版本:
